Seen it last night, i must say it was a decently enertaining movie, similar to lord of the rings but it really ripped through the plot very quick, so there was little character development. i would give it a 3.5 stars out of 5. Had Tom cruise's x wife showed something maybe a 5 out of 5.

Did you read the book? If so, did they foul up the story too badly?

Ding 500 posts,

Well from a friend i went with that read the books, in which the third they kill GOD, which has a bunch of people tore up, he thought they did a decent job, but he said the things moved to quickly and alot of content that would have made it blockbuster in his mind, they barely touched on or not at all.

I listened to the entire series on audiobooks, as I have about 4 hours of drive to kill each day. I figured this might be a good movie, if they didn't slaughter the original work too badly (See "I, Robot" by Asimov versus "I, Robot" the movie... just the title and some character names)

Thanks for the information... I want to catch it, but might not be able to, as Christmas is a little too close.

yeah, i read alot of books, this just isn't one of them, in 99% of cases the books are 10000x better there are very few movies i would say that have come from books that are a very close translation to hollywood.

Yep... Hollyweird is soooo very good at ****ing up books! I usually cringe when I see a movie with a title of a book I've read.

How about the crap they did to Heinlein's Starship Troopers? The second one was actually closer to the correct message, but it still missed the mark!
