a quick explanation of what makes this gun a prototype;

(this is gonna go back to basics, for people who might not be familiar with the companies involved, seeing as how some stopped dealing with paintball 5 years ago, if you know all this history, bear with me)

back on 04, AKA made a switch to the viking, aside from changing the detent system, they changed the overall length of the marker, there was a company named JMJ that had been doing featherlight, and swirlmilling to vikings for awhile,

when the new body style came out, JMJ needed to test out the old program on the new body dimensions, to see if any changes to the milling program needed to be made, and to see if it was worth doing a different version of the swirlmill design for 04, compared to the older, 03 style

they needed a gun to test on, which is where this body comes from, when they were done experimenting, they realized they hadnt ruined the the body, so they decided to grab a dremmel, write JMJ factory, send it off to anno, and put it all together.and make the shops test body into a gun for the factory team
this might also be the very first true "JMJ factory team" gun

so here are some of the other things that make this gun unique

the main reg, your probably wondering what kind of reg is on the front of this thing, its no offical reg.. but its really a sidewinder, there was a man named Julio that worked for JMJ, he has done some design stuff for JMJ over the years, and he was on the factory team, he was also who designed the trigger on the gun. he wanted to see if he could take a sidewinder, and make it better by improving the airflow,, thats whats on the front of this gun. which also makes it a prototype in a different way, the reg was raw when i first got it, as far as i know, this is the only one of these known to exist, i have since had it annodized, as you can see

also inside the gun is a titanium ram and hammer, it was one of a small run, usually in the team guns, it makes a definite difference in the amount of felt recoil

also the frame is a JMJ frame that has the extra tail cut off, also something that you dont find very often

inside the frame, is a JMJ darkworks trigger, which was designed by the old owner of the gun (julio)
so here are a few pictures of how it looked when i first got it

now, since ive had it, ive added
A Tadao M5 board (which is 10BPS compliant, flashed by will personally in oct 09)
ive had the raw parts annodized black
a warpedmephisto bolt pin
DYE sticky grips
also smoothed out the finish on the back of the bolt
another thing thats been added is an STD/JDS LPR, from a small run, and very hard to find

so here are the pictures, because i know thats what you came here for

Nice little tidbit there...and nice marker! Any explanation as to why the milled 'swirls' are closer together on the passenger side?....maybe just trying to setup the milling coordinates?

setup of the milling co-ordinates. testing to see if it was worth changing the actual milling program around to make the 04 different from the 03 and 02, the then the one spot that almost smooth.. thats the milling that went on the bonebreak excal.. perhaps they were checking depth on a test body?
