Anyone seen a q loader on a mag yet? I am curious how well it works on the classic main body if you just plop the q loader on the feed neck.

I might have seen one once or twice...
The reason that I put them directly onto the feed neck was purely to gain the ROF for the videos I made. See the QLoader will speed up real fast to 40-50bps but the longer the stack of balls you have "queued" up, the longer it takes for the loader to spin up. Since AIC designed the loader with the aim of allowing you to hide it from view they did not have a direct adaptor. I lathed down a warp feed plug and taped it up. Ideally you should have some sort of a clamping ring of some kind to hold the loader steady but for the testing I didn't care. When there are only 3-4 balls lined up the QLoader is fast as hell. Whether a 45˚ on a Classic body or a vert feed it won't make much difference to the Q but you will have an odd balanced setup...

Cell uses a Qloader on his mag. He swears by it. That and the warpfeed.

I am wondering what kind of body you have on your mag. it is a stainless steel body with a feed tube or a ULE with a feedneck?
I have seen a couple different set ups that I thought were pretty neat.

Had a qloader on my tac one, found them to be too finicky. I personally would recommend avoiding them.

A lot of this comes from quaility of paint & weather conditions , they hate cheap paint & high humidity , I will only use one in the " winter " here in Florida , there are a lot of ways to mount them though ;

I have a Q-Bow tach mag - the Q-loader adapter works great and keeps the thing from spinning on the vert ASA.
"the longer the stack of balls you have "queued" up, the longer it takes for the loader to spin up"
Not sure I follow you - there is always constant pressure - there is no spin up per say unless I am misunderstanding what you are saying (I.E. - does the loader slow down having to push 5 paintballs up the hose or just 2?)
Used to play a Qloaded A5 many years ago. I hated filling up pods. A teammate can't just throw you a pod of paint if you run out of paint on the field. You gotta leave the game and fill them up.
Plus, I live in am extremely humid area, and a Qlaoder doesn't work well in the hot summer months.

What I am talking about really only applies to stupid high rates of fire (say 20+ ) so take that with a grain of salt. When I tinkered with the Q I noticed that the longer the length of hose, the more time it took to get the loader to reach top speed. A highly exaggerated demo of this would be to take the Q and let it empty with no hose. Then take another Q with 3 feet of hose on it , preload the balls in the tube, bend the tube into a 180˚ bend like it would be on a gun and do the same thing. I found that the longer the hose the longer it took the Q to "reach maximum speed". It had to get all those balls that were no longer pre-wound inside the pod but lined up acting as dead weight going. Like a really long train. Eventually it gets to the same top speed but it cannot do it was fast.
How much of a factor in positioning your Q is this? Probably not much unless you are rapid-firing.
When I used a PF body, i would just use one section of the qloader/warp adapter and run it out the bottom of the bodys feed tube. I would then cut down the top of the feed tube and put in the pf plug.
I use a wl ule body now, here are some pics of my setup. I personally can not stand the qloader being mounted anyway but parallel with the body/barrel. Nor could I ever use the qloader mounted under the barrel, it was too awkward in weight distribution and I break the qloader mounting brackets.
This is my solution, its up against the tank for support and since I just tip the marker to shoot left or right, it is literally NEVER in the way.
Can't beat it, if only it held an infinite amount of balls, or was quicker/easier to swap/reload pods.
