View Full Version : emag
so this looks like the place to ask since almost all of you have emags. How heavy are they? I have a ule pnuemag with xvalve but somthing about emags have always interested me. so I was thinking about getting rid of some guns and picking up one.

All ULE'd they arent so bad. Still heavier than most guns, definately heavier than the newer ones. The Karta Emag I had at one point was the lightest type ive come across. FYI - the tac bodies are fairly heavy.

main reason they are a little heavier is the battery. But the tac one isnt so bad with on of these on there...

E-mags are ok, as long as you have all the ULE parts(body, rail, frame, and XValve).
Otherwise, they are definitly heavier than most.

Never owned one, but have played with several. They are not so bad. I've even played with one that was pre ule body and it was tolerable--heavier than most, but not that bad. Then again, I am a big boy:cool:

You know I always felt the same way. Hard to say what the weight is for sure since not every emag has the same parts on them. Some rails and bodies are lighter than others. Weight on the all ULE Emags aren't bad but like Rogue said, they are heavier than other electro's.

My Emag with A Thrasher rail and Warp left body rivals my Xmag in weight.

My Emag with ULE lowers, Exile body, Shadow rail and X-valve was lighter than my Xmag.

i never really notice the weight till after i am done for the day. The excitement of getting to shoot other people and not get arrested is just to great to worry about how heavy my gun is...LOL
i gotta say a karta enag was lighter than my sfl, which is lighter than an xmag, by a hair, but by far, my karta devilmag was my lightest electro mag

I have an emag that is uled to the max
its very light for an emag its not bad at all
get a cf tank and a light hopper no problem
emags are so fun but ULE everything is a must.

i really don't mind the few extra oz's. if your obsessed with making it the lightest you can, thats fine. but the difference between an all ule'd e-mag and one that isn't.......is the difference between you being a man or a <3
i found my first good use of the <3 smiley, yesssssss!!!
Well ***ual preference aside...the tactical argument for the weight difference is that when you are leaning out to shoot, more mass takes not only more power but more time to move since the source of strength is limited. I used to have Full emag w/ warp feed and switched to ULE and revy and play much tighter and am not as tired at the end of the day so I can continue playing at my peak. I guess it comes down to personal preference.
