I'm just wondering if anyone uses Gun Grease on their Vikings or Excals?
I was just going to use oil but I'm curious as to whether there is any benefit to using a gun grease?

You really dont want to use petroleum based grease/oil on any paintball gear.
Petroleum is an Oxidizer and will cause explosions/fire in the presence of compressed air. And, that is kinda bad. Use only paintball approved lubes on markers and air tanks. Lots of them out there, just pick one.
Unless this "gun grease" that you are referring to is a paintball lube.
Having said all that, I only use AKA oil on my Viking, thats all it needs.

Thats what I meant the "gun grease" designed for paintball markers.
Good I was only using oil, just curious.

You absolutely should not use grease of any kind for any reason it will not increase performance in any way whatsoever it will only be detrimental. Oil oil oil.
Just some in your ASA will do. No reason to take the gun apart unless you feel like doing a yearly detail clean or something..but really it will just increase chances of cut O rings.
I also would put a drop of oil per O ring on the bolt. Do vikings even have bolt O rings? I still like oil on the bolt.
There is no part on the viking or excal that you should even be taking apart regularly that would even tempt you to grease it. Keep the ram where it belongs, and the LPR, and the HPR.
Even when you do take it all apart you do not use grease.
Synthetic paintball oil with no solvents. Air tool oil, Gold cup, KC trouble free, PMI oil, all of the light thin oils. Don't use something like hoppes no matter how well it works for your grandpas 1911. Gun oils have lots of solvents to break down the buildup a gun accumulates. This will break down all of the seals in your gun.

Thanks Cunha. No my Viking does not have orings on the bolt, I just oiled that and dropped a couple in the asa before airing it up.

I haven't put any oil on my Bolt because I did not want to swell the delrin... I know that TF over at MCB says the Tri-Flow is safe to use on Delrin,,, but I am not taking any chances... I just pull my bolt and wipe it down after a hit in that area and put it back in dry and haven't yet had any problems with it...

All my guns receive a couple of drops of Gold Cup oil in the ASA when I prepare them for a day of play.
I use Dow 33 on bolt o-rings, usually found on my cockers with non-delrin bolts. It's also good for 4-way o-rings when used sparingly.
I use Dow 55 if I need to swell an o-ring just a little bit. Like the banjo bolt of a classic RT mag.
Basically, if you have a light oil, you are set for 95% of the times you need to lube up.

The bolt will absolutely positively not swell from paintball oil. Tri flow is fine it is just like all of the oils I listed. Synthetic oil without solvents. That is what AKA oil is.

While we are beating a dead horse. I like to oil my bolt so as to minimize breach wear. However I have found that the #1 super most important thing for viking breaches is keeping them clean. Oil can help a little but it is not essential on your bolt. In your gun there is no reason to use anything but oil. Of course that has been said but OIL.

So. Only use oil in your gun, not grease.
Matt is totally right. Wipe out that breach all the time. Dust will build up there and that will mean breach wear regardless of whether or not you have oil on the bolt or just leave the delrin bolt dry. If your bolt is dirty and dry it will still be scraping along inside your gun.
So wipe the breach down every day of play for sure, maybe even in the middle of a day if you take a dusty dive. a little bit of oil is good.
Don't use grease at all.
A dead horse can not be beaten too much! :D
