General Field Info
Admission + all day 4500psi fills: $21 (if you buy a case of their paint from their local store in Modesto you get $5 off admission making it $16)
Hours of operation: 9am - 5pm (games do start around 10am)
BYOP allowed: If you have a deal on paint that can be bought in bulk speak now and we can make a group purchase.
Chrono Speed: 280fps
Field Type: Speedball / more specifically hyperball and airball in X-Ball format.

Well I'll make the executive decision on this and say lets go play on December 4th. It's long enough away that I have time to call everyone and demand that you start preparing.

Extreme has always been worth the drive out to play. They have refs who know how to ref, do not put up with dishonest play, and stay right with the group waiting for us to be ready. Last time we got some not-quite-as-good refs but I have to assume it was a fluke Their fields are well balanced and fun to play with as few as 3 vs 3 or 10 vs 10 (ok maybe 8 vs 8 on the airball). The ground is flat and free of rocks and rodent holes but it is hard ground and cleats will not necessarily give you grip (will they Cory?).

Paint Order / Complications (updated 11-04-10)
After discussion with Steve "Junior" Brown, one of the people who works with Gina Telford, we have got APX paint cleared to be used at Extreme Paintball. Now is the time to organize a list of how many boxes everyone wants. Ill be calling you shortly.

Things You Would Be Wise to Bring
-Water or other cool drinks in an ice chest.
-Sunblock and a hat or shades.
-Fold-out tables/chairs. (can't hurt if you have them).
-A laptop, external USB/Firewire HD or USB thumb drive 4Gigs+. This is handy if you want to get a copy of the pictures taken during the day and not wait for me to get them up on my site.
-Possible change of cloths. It is tradition that we head to Chevys for a tasty dinner after a day of play like this. No if's, and's or but's, we go to eat all the chips, tortillas and salsa.

I forgot to double check. Remember all that talk we had about doing some pump play? Are you still interested in doing that? From how things were left my take was that people were willing to play a few games with pump and then when we tired of it go back to regular play?

Which one did you get? I'm thinking of picking up one of the GoPro 960s. It's like the one Tracker had, just without some of the bells and whistles, so it's a bit cheaper.

Think about this, they are trying to support the US based compaines a little more by doing this. Just saying.

If the price is decent, and 45 for premium is pretty F'in good, I don't mind buying from them. My only question is how much would it be if we didn't get 20 cases for some reason.

Let me talk to some people about getting DXS (draxxus) paint at a good deal. I already know I can get it cheap, but just how cheap and # of cases is the question.

I would have to talk to my store and captain about buying paint in bulk but through my sponsorship I can get $35 per case of premium. I just need to know if I can get a ride to this game (I'm in Redlands, I'm in college and don't a car yet) and hopefully I can talk my store into letting me buy the paint if y'all pitch in. Just a thought...Not sure how they would feel about me buying 20 or so cases though. Might be worth asking

There is quite a bit of crap paint made right here in the states (some very good stuff is made here as well).

Either way, Im not going to let something like that change my paintball plans, but it is irritating nonetheless.

I don't think you can do better than that 45$ a case unless someone can get you wholesale prices direct from one of the approved companies. Wife pointed out that tickets to CA. are cheap (125$ round trip without deal searching) so of course I chimed in "hey at those prices maybe I can make it to a Z-day sometime." She rolled her eyes and said oh great some paintball thing (is planning our next family vacation to Disneyland in Feb. <--- hint Zak hint Next Z-day third week of Feb.). Funny thing is she thought Z-day was something like D-day. :rofl2:I told yeah just slightly smaller.

Having played there a few times, their field isn't my style. I love their airball, but the big game just °°°°es me off.

I enjoy playing at Davis too. Chris, Flyingpootang and I have been there a few times this year. I agree...for the price of admission, the free lunch, the best airball field in norcal, and the big games, it's a great place to play! BUT...since 2004 Extreme has always taken care of our group, given us our own refs and choice of fields to play on. I'm especially looking forward to playing on their new airball field too! kill-n-spree....you definitley have to join us Dec 4th. :cheers: Btw...i'll be playing at CEPP in Sacramento this saturday. The hour by hour on my phone shows a possible passing shower at 5am and another at 9am and those are the only ones with any rain. Every other hour just says very cloudy until late tomorrow night. Hoping it is correct and planning to make the drive. Been too long since I played last.

Edit: Checking TWC right now and it says 40% showers from 9am all the way through the rest of the day and night...

Simon and I just got back home. We had such a great time with everyone. Thanks again, as always, for being such awesome people to play with. I know that my nephew and my brother (pointbl_nk) had a blast too. It's always great to have newer players (my nephew) play with good groups who play fair and are there to just have a good time. I had a great time even though I had to leave early. Thanks to the cool dudes that let me borrow their guns for the day. The weather (while I was there) was ideal playing weather after the morning fog lifted. Extreme set up their airball field too which was nice. Lots of fun.

I'm sure you all heard me say it many times but I think that was one of the better/best days of paintball I have played. Not only did we skirt the rain and enjoy a nice 65˚F overcast day of play; Not only did we get to play for (my first time) on Extreme's band new GIANT airball field; Not only did the APX Agro Pro perform very well, but the refs are Extreme treated us like kings.

I really think that was one of the very best full days of paintball that I have yet to enjoy.

The Go Pro is a No Go. They are to wide of an angle and dont capture the one you are shooting at unless you are 10 feet away from them, and i am a back player.

So good idea bad application of technology on go pros side of it. You would need a camera that would zoom up to say something 40 feet away before getting any good shots.
