I have only shot Auto-Mags in the past. I have a question and I think I can trust this board not to get all crazy. Next week I am buying an Electro marker. I don't have the jam for a E-Mag. I had narrowed this down to a Rail with a UL, I like the way the UL feels, frame. When I got to the shop today they have a PM6 for $400. Do I go with the Rail or get the PM6.
I have not researched the PM6 much so I am starting that right now. The price at this point, is within $50.

Ive heard good and bad about both. Myself, I would probably go for a PM6... just because there is less plastic :-) .You can always upgrade the frame later
Also, with these guns its always a good idea to keep a ready supply of spare orings. Find out the most often replaced and get your hands on them.

There are many more reliable electros on the market than the newer trixes. The DM6 had problems with their eyes and chopping. All of them have cold weather issues, and as Big E has already said keep lots of Orings on hand. The rail being a lower line marker will need upgrades to be as good as the PM6 is "spun" to be. I know the plastic back cap is an immediate issue. Also look at older trixes and see what has happened to their resale. I saw two PM5's that were upped go for 200 and a DM4 barely over 200 is on AO right now.
The poppet valve design is more tried and true than spool valves, and tend to be more efficent. The newer balanced poppets are a vast improvement on the old design.
I would look Timmy or Ego, older Angel, Viking (tops) etc. Some of those are bigger and heavy, but really reliable.

Don't forget DP Fusions. The new F8's are $450 and are great markers. Those new Timmys look great too for $550.

I got PM Rail with a UL Frame. March/May I will be buying another marker. I am thinking of some kind of Pump but need to look into it a bit.

/thread, folks.
I would have gone with the PM6 out of those two choices, but more likely a Mini.

Quest is a hot marker. I would like to throw in the mix Alien Remains or Interceptor. I own an Interceptor and its great!

I got the Rail took it out for the first time on a cold day which was less then fun but over all it's a pretty nice marker. I should have gotten the PM6 I suppose but I really wanted to get something new. Everything else I have has been gotten used so I broke my normal trend.
I will not be buying another gun with Battiers unless its an EMAG.
