I bought a couple of these from a guy on AO.

The rebuild kit comes with a spring, detent ball and thinner O-ring.

What does that thinner o-ring go to? or is it a replacement for the thicker one on the detent? (depending on which body you use?)

Also I could easily twist apart one detent (to check how it rebuilds) but the other, no such luck. The previous owner didn't mention loc titing it or anything.

There are 2 o-rings provided with the ReTent. The thicker o-ring(for ULE-based bodies) and the thinner o-ring(for Tac bodies).

When you buy an AGD detent, they come with both o-rings as well...for this reason.

Ah.. ok.

And, if a time should come that I need to buy detent balls/springs I can just use the AGD made stuff right?

I have had bad luck with AGD detents. I got my tunamag in 04 and dry fired it maybe 20 times and lost the original detent ball before paint ever saw the marker.

I made the ReTent because of the easy failure of the AGD detent. AGD detents blow out because they are one piece and broached to hold the ball in. Causing the lip broached against the ball to be the weakest point.

You have an extra ball and spring that should have come with the ReTents you purchased. To date, nobody has ever had to buy more. The ball is standard and can be purchased commonly. The springs are the same ones used in AGD detents.

Youre good to go. Its going to take quite a bit to go through the ones in the detents and the spares.

Mind, Don't worry about the re-tents. Rouge is making excellent products and stands with his stuff. I built a mag with almost all RPG products and it was the finest I've ever owned. Trust in the Man!

Yeah I know. I have a Chimera frame on one of the mags. :) Real nice. Dallara rail too.
