View Full Version : I finally grabbed a Viking

I'd been meaning to pick one up for a while, but those who know me realize I am a scavenger. I don't pay full price for stuff unless I really, really want it. The Viking was under the mental category of, "It would be nice to have but I'm not shelling out $350 for one right now, thanks."

I picked up most of a FreeFlow Trauma Matrix for $100, and pieced the rest together with existing parts I had laying around. I traded it to a very nice guy in Hawaii for a pretty much pristine gloss black CCM S6, which was a pretty sweet deal for me. Then, I found a dude with a sweet milled out Viking who wanted my S6. I traded it plus a stock Matrix, in which I probably had $50 invested. In return, I received this:

It has all sorts of nice hidden tray/noid milling, and the little pocket behind the HPR too. It has a JDS LPR and the Mitey Max, and the WAS 2.0 board I was trying to figure out in the tech forum. It had a chrome Sidewinder on it, but I swapped it out because it needed a 2 liter. Zak is sending me one of those razor triggers as I prefer them. All in all it's in very nice shape. I think I'll keep it.

I didn't pay anywhere near that for it. It's polished clear coat anoed, and I'm happy to leave it like that.

Im sure you didnt. But the way I figure, you were looking for $450 for the CCM, and $50 invested from the Matrix...puts the cash value you 'paid' at ~$500.
