Is it wrong?

So I might be doing something wrong here, but I just bought a Freak barrel to use on all my stuff...including my Viking...and was almost considering getting my second Javelin bored for inserts :slap:. After trying out different kits, I finally have in.

My question is this, I pretty much only use a .679 back on my T2, and have no problem with it. Though is there anything bad with underboring on a open bolt marker? I wouldn't assume so, though I've been getting some partial roll outs with even my .679...so I was likely going to get one of the .675/.670 brass inserts.

I know severe underbore isn't good...but how tight is too tight on a open bolt gun, or does it even make any difference between open/closed?

i am not sure on underboring, but i do know that paint is getting smaller and i have used both my .675 and .670 brass inserts in my Viking with no problems...

Perfect! I kinda figured it wouldn't be an issue, but I figured it would be a good idea to double check.

I've said this before but there is nothing wrong with using a deadlywind or bored javelin and PPS or tymcneer inserts. Not of your money goes to the Gardners that way. And I've haven't had any issues underboring; just don't try going too small and you'll be fine.

How do you get roll outs with a open bolt marker. Is there something wrong with you ball detents.

No rollouts, I'd just like to use a smaller barrel than what I've been using. I just didn't know how small would be too small. Considering I'm hoping to get a .670 insert for my Freak set this week. Wouldn't need (wouldn't need it at all with the Viking, but I want to leave my options open) it now, but with how small the paint keeps getting at my field, I'm sure it'll happen eventually.
