Is the XBox 360 worth it?

I have a Xbox, got it 4 months before the 360 came out. Now I'm not the cool kid on the block anymore, and I feel left out:(

Everyone talking 360 this, and 360 that. Blah blah blah. Is the 360 worth buying new, or should I wait until 4 months before the XBox 720 comes out?

It depends on what you like to play. I have a 360 and love it. But others swear by the PS3. For me I couldn't justify the money for a PS3 right now as there are not any must have games that intrest me. For next gen console wise I would say go with the 360.

Oh and don't worry about he Xbox 720 that's atleast 6 years away from hitting the store shelves.

you can probably get $100 for your classic xbox on ebay...

I vote "definitely worth it"...
It's a decent value, has lots of great games and it's onlne service is the best available.

COD 4 is awesome.

Well it depends on how much of a game player you are. I personally have Wii, PS3, and a 360 but then again I have been playing games for about 20 years of my life. Also I would say it depends on the genre of games you like to play. FPS are plentiful on the 360, party style games are plentiful on the Wii, and adventure action type games seem to be the leader on PS3. Hope that helps in your decision.

Before you buy you might want to look into the problems they have been having with the system and consider if you then think it is worth the money.

I've had mine for 2 years now, got one of the early ones and I can't even begin to tell you how many hours I've put into that thing. I have never had even a single problem with it and I'd recomend it to anyone. COD4 and Oblivion are fantastic if you're looking for good games.

That game left me feeling unfulfilled when i beat it (used my friend's xbox, and me and my other friend played campaign) almost like i made it finish, but i didn't get to.

The ps3 from what i've played is fun, and it has MGS4 coming out, but i think the Wii is more fun, but i don't have any of the systems, so really it's your call.

I don't regret it a bit. I bought mine also for Halo3. Pooled a bit of money, sold a few things and got a 360 w/drive, new. Never looked back. Now I just look for deals on games. Craigslist is a great source of used games.

im in the same boat here i have an xbox, and im looking to upgrade, the wii is cool looking but i figure it will be like the gamecube in a couple years, the PS3 looks sweet but im used to the controls of an xbox, and you get an 80gb HD. For about the same money though you can get an xbox 360 elite in the oh so sexy black, i can play my xbox games on it as well as the xbox 360 games, and its got the 120gb HD so i dont know either good luck and let us know what you end up doing.
