Where can I send my tanks to get fixed?

Lets be honest, I am not an airsmith.. and while I love tinkering with my guns, I know nothing about tanks.

I have here a CP reg 68/4500 and a Crossfire 68/4500 both of which have gone to zero pressure, and whatever is inside the reg is out of place. Thus I need to have it fixed.

So the question is, where can I send them to do that?

i would tell you to send the crossfire tank to crossfire, because they are a pain in the °°° to take apart, besides they can rebuild it, and do a hydro if you need it

the cp, i would say either try contacting cp and see what they tell you, or do it yourself, i dont have firsthand experience with the CP's but i would assume they are more user serviceable than the crossfires

the act of taking the reg off a bottle is pretty simple, they arent installed THAT tightly, and there shouldnt be any loctite on it, the pressure inside the tank is enough to keep it from coming off, with no pressure, they unscrew without much force

as for how to vent the pressure inside?, loosen the burst disk and let it all slowly leak out

Services a reg is really not cost effective most of the time. If you have to ship just the regs twice to have them serviced you will be out 10-20$ plus parts and labor.

Ninja used to service regs but it was so costly for the customer to have it done they stopped offering the service. Now they just replace the reg and do a new hydro. They don't even rebuild the regs cause parts and labor is more than they can sell a rebuilt reg for. At best they pull working parts and scrap the rest!

For you that means you are best off just buying new regs and installing them. If you poke around you can find them for pretty decent prices and then you know you have new clean working regs.

Your local shop should install them for free if you buy from them.
