I like the one I linked to better because it has the "what to do as a player" and "what to do as an owner" info. They made it its own full topic at the top of the home page too. There is a thread with a reply from an assembly member in there and also info on a town hall meeting in Palmdale being held by the vice chair of the safety committee voting on the bill. On-line petitions don't do much of anything since there is no way to verify that one person didn't sign 500 times, the people live in the affected district/state, or that the signees are old enough for their signature to matter.

The California Assembly Committee on Public Safety has 7 members. We need 4 of them to vote to amend this bill, or vote against the bill entirely. Here is the current status on how the committee members have stated they will vote:

Tom Ammiano, Democrat, Chair: Unknown
Steve Knight, Republican, Vice-Chair: Opposed
Gilbert Cedillo, Democrat: Unknown
Curt Hagman, Republican: Opposed
Jerry Hill, Democrat: Unknown
Holly J. Mitchell, Democrat: Unknown
Nancy Skinner, Democrat: Unknown

Total:
For: 0
Against: 2

Tom Ammiano: 916-319-2013
Steve Knight: 916-319-2036
Gilbert Cedillo: 916-319-2045
Curt Hagman: 916-319-2060
Jerry Hill: 916-319-2019
Holly J. Mitchell: 916-319-2047
Nancy Skinner: 916-319-2014

That bill is a joke. I did my calls and emails and made my friends do the same.

Commiefornia, the ultimate NANNIE-state.

This is the sort of stuff that makes me thankful I moved from there.

^^ Amen brother...

This is the stuff that has led me to decide I shall never visit that damned state on my own free will.

I love the video of the politician that doesn't know what a barrel shroud is. It is awesome when the press does their job and pins them down like that.

If I could move out of CA I would in a heart beat, but I can't because of school and family situations. Everytime I turn around there is a new tax, law, blah blah blah that forces me to spend more money that frankly I barely have. 25% of our gas prices are nothing but tax most of which is state tax, we're about $4 even right now for 87 octane where I am. If the law does pass it will most likely force me to quit playing all together.

If it passes, it will just be another law that I will totally ignore:wthumpup:

I'm glad to see they are working to make our sport still legal.

But, Its still a sad day in this country when you'd settle for any laws against any form of firearm be it a real gun or just an air rifle...

It's why I'm a libertarian. Government officials & bureaucrats represent, in most cases, the dumbest our society has to offer. Why the hell would we trust them with the authority to make decisions for us?

Same here, If I could I would be out of here but the wife has her family here so we aint leaving. IT does seem like every year Im paying more for the honor of leaving in Commiefornia. Ive got to pay an extra 200 dollars on reg. because I own a truck and I have smog it now which is a joke being its a 49 state diesel that never had emission equipment on it.
