At the first of the year I plan to purchase a new marker. At the moment I am leaning towards the Mini for its size and efficiency.
My style of play is 24 hour Scenario, and I would like a gun that is light and fast, but can also hose a case of paint or more on a 68/4500 fill.
What would be your Top 3 choices for "NEW" markers.
{500 dollars or less and no Automags}
Mine are
Mini
PMR
Etek

I don't have a TOP 1, let alone 3, for new markers under $500.

are you SET on new? if so why
the used electro markets nearly in a meltdown, everyone trying to sell stuff that no one seems to want since its last years model.
you can save a bundel and then some buying used as RF suggest, which i would reccomend.

Used is a good possibility
there are exceptions in every purchase, I'm not dead set on New, but am absolutely not interested in Someone else's ragged out basket case either.
The used market is defiantly full of sweet deals ATM, but I never seem to have the cash when they pop up.:(

I forgot to ask John. Youve been a mag shooter for almost a decade now. Any reason for the sudden change of heart?:coffee:

1) used borg
2) mini
3) etek
All of which dont look milsim so you will stand out but i think they are all efficient and own a mini so... my 2 cents.

1.DP Fusion
2.Mini
3.Only reason this is three is it requires more time but save another $50 and get a Protege
Also for a case or more on the 68/4500 the Protege is the only one in the near $500 market that will do that.
The Etek isn't bad, but its more than $500 as well, and is capped at a max of 15BPS

The big thing for me over the years is has been quality and reliability.
Today most guns are of reasonable Quality and reliability but are also Lighter faster.
I'll keep my mags for back up's and dont see myself going to a game without one, but my primary marker needs to be updated.
In other words,
I'm older and fatter now, and need a marker that does most of the work for me.:coolshades:

Im pretty much set with guns.. however I do plan on partaking in a few projects after the new year
1 - EvilMag mkII
2 - Custom half block Mq with an ego grip frame
3 - MAYBE (and I mean MAYBE) picking up a used dm6 if I come across one for the right price.
4 - MAYBE a pump mag should the parts become readily available.

I neglected to list the Viking. Pity me Mr. T :mr-t:

i'd go with the dangerous power F8, or the protege. both are super efficient, small, light, and pretty cost effective. i sell a lot of fusions, and there's a ton of interest in the protege as well.

ive always been interested in the 05 ego. I like the simple milling on it and it can be had pretty cheaply. Im going to look into one later in '08.

On my fusion (older style), I get around 1400 shots on a 45/4500 fill and others have said to get a case on a 68/4500 full fill. I dont remember seeing any numbers on the F8, but I would guess that it would get slightly less since you can t fine tune it with a lpr.
So my choice, an older style fusion, by used or new, there isnt much there that can go wrong other then orings.

1 - SLG
2 - Mini
3 - There is no #3 if I can't name a mag. Those above are the only markers I'm at all even a little interested in - I don't like electros and I'd much prefer another RT or a Tac One.
