:dancemania:
This is my last semester and I was in danger of not passing a required class. I needed something like a 130% on the final to get a C with no curve. To make matters worse I had a job offer beginning in January contingent upon my graduation. It was a FUBAR situation. I even went through the trouble of scheduing a single spring class at a local university to pick up the last class I needed so I could get my diploma mailed sometime in may. I spoke with the prof in person... his advice was "withdraw". Gee thanks. Goodbye job.
"Nah," I said, "F- that. I keeps it real." :glare:
So I made a montage and I studied for the final for like 2 weeks straight. Well when I took the final I thought I got a 100% (not too shabby considering my previous scores). Sure as heck there's a C on my transcript so the prof must've been impressed by my final score and taken pity on my soul - either that or he curved the **** out of the class.
Im'ma be a bona fide engineer.
(All I have to do is finish typing my sr project report tonight and turn it in tomorrow!)

wait, did you spell it like that on purpose?
Anyway, I plan on being a mech engineer as well. more than likely going to do something with weapons as im really enjoying the work that goes into one. but who knows, at the rate im going me and my brother are probably going to open a shop and im going to be making my own turbos and whatnot.
Have fun with the report, by this time i would have added so much bs to the report just to finish it.

In the US, do you get the title "engineer" when you finish school? Or do you have to complete 4 years in a business before getting the title?
I know in Canada you do not have the title "engineer" by graduating, you need to complete a certain amount of time in a company.
IronHyde: if you were adressing that question to me, i'm french. "engineer" in french is "ingénieur" so it's a bit easy to confuse them.

You either have to:
a) complete so many years in a professional setting
b) Pass the "Fundementals of Engineering" (FE) exam. It's like the bar exam or nursing boards, only for engineers.
