I like AO. It isn't what it used to be with Tom posting "what do you think of this...." type posts, the chats that went on all nite, and spontaneous contests. But then too was the heyday of AO. Now AO is just a b/s/t and an occasional 'why does my bolt stick' type thread.

I still go to AO, but it certainly isn't the 'discussion forum' that it used to be. Tom has stated that the finest times in his career was when he and others would sit up all nite talking paintball, sharing ideas and getting into arguments. Well I guess that spirit is dead on AO.. and that is a damn bloody shame.

Thanks man, i mean i don't really care that i got banned, it just shows that he'll just ban anyone who speaks out against him or disagrees with him. I didn't do anything against the forum rules, and everyone that saw the thread could see that, all i did was say that he banned people for no reason, went against the TOS, and said that they were trying to make it seem like that whole incident didn't happen. I really hope the others on there that were saying the same things don't get scared and back down, maybe if he bans enough people for no reason they'll pull im, but i just find it stupid that i got banned only because my thread about the disappearing threads likened it to 1984 and i think i may have called him out by name.

Anyway, thanks for thinking of me, i doubt he'll reduce my sentence though, i ****ed him off cause i hit him where it hurts.

Thanks for the support man, and it is sad that he deletes/bans anything that sheds him in a bad light.

I just wish that he would've left my "magic" thread alone, there were a few that said that they're glad people are finally getting sick of this.

Anyway, i hate to see AO end, but i wonder how he'll feel when he realizes it's all his fault.

Oh wait, he doesn't have a heart, he just pretends to hate banning people...

How about, you decided to be a complete **** about something you had nothing to do with, and no information about, and were banned for it because you decided to be highly disruptive (againt the rules), cuss (against the rules), and create an Email storm in my Mod box from members complaining about you (making me investigate and agree with Beemer)?

Please, tell us why Rogue was banned for a week, and I will tell you that you are totally wrong. You don't know all the reasons why, and you never will, as it was between Rogue and ALL the Mods AND Tom's specific instructions on the matter.

Spout off again how we are vindictive on AO. Cry how AO is near death......again. Tell us Beemer is such a weenie that he only bans people that disagree with him. And I'll tell you that you have no clue.:loser:

Taking all this a little personal, aren't you? I can count on one hand, all the people that have really taken this to heart.

Here's a little bit of "laundry" for you: BE was temp banned for cussing. When called on it, he graciously took his ban for what it was. He even laughed a little about it while fully recognising he broke the rules. This is his first ban for any reason, for all I know, it was his first warning too.

But you and Snoopay have taken it upon yourselves to scream and cry censorship...13th century...Beemer's out of control...AO is dieing...the Mods are Nazi's...etc.

You guys have no argument, no basis, and no idea what you are whining about.

Well seeing as i did laugh about my ban and i am accepting it i don't see what i'm whining about. I simply mentioned how i think it's bullcrap for the reason i got banned. In that thread that was poofed away i just said the word ***, but others said **** and crap like that more than me. Swearing is a bull**** excuse for banning me. Others were being just as disruptive, that is also a bull**** excuse for banning me. When the threads were deleted, all i said was that i love how that site is run and how you delete anything that sheds you in a bad light (and i wasn't the only one to make a thread about this) yet i was the only one banned for it. I will admit i broke the rules, but others broke them worse than me, so you guys are showing unequal banning again.

It's not that far a cry...to successfully rule in a dictatorship, you must accomplish these things:

1. Suppress their freedom of speech by controlling the media
2. Remove any and all weapons from heir arsenal and all evidence of it
3. Fear-monger them into compliance and/or silence with exceptionally harsh punishments

You:
1. locked the threads so that no one could post.
2. deleted those threads as fast as you could
3. swung your bansticks with "righteous impunity" to anyone who disagreed or "tried to start trouble"...effectively shutting down anyone who would have posted.

And you can speak for TK all you want...until HE posts from his screen name on AO, your opinions mean **** here...no one would believe it was him unless done on his ORIGINAL name....

I do your job and with greater power and on a more active forum than AO. Its not as big a deal as you (AO Mods) are all making it out to be. YOU are the ones making a mountain out of a mole-hill...you feed the fire all by yourselves. I get more whiny, non-rule reading, prepubescent Nationites in 2 nights than AO gets in a month - so cry me a river about your job...I dare you.

Remember...actions speak louder than words. You want to show you are the "better men?" Quit acting like ****-heads and prove it.

I completly agree with Army. I think we are getting out of hand and getting ridiculous very fast. It was fun at first but now it isn't. I don't want to pick fights with the company i have suported over the years, I sure as hell don't want to be a part of that.

You can complain as much as you want. But in the end, wether you like it or not, that's how the forum is run. If you are not happy, you don't have to support them anymore.

I see both sides, but Army's a standup guy. We should chill out.

if you want to post on here, go for it. if you want to post there, go for it.

Let's go back to talking about paintball.

Actually, you would be totally wrong Army. And I can answer that in 2 ways:

#1--- I was banned by Beemer for posting a link to an AO thread telling him to spend more time moderating than arguing in posts. Beemer himself posted thats the reason I was banned(which has since been deleted, wonder why?). And there are plenty of members who saw Beemers post.
So you either a) dont know the whole story yourself or b) Are trying to spin the story and put it behind the iron-curtain of "you dont know the whole story." I believe you just dont know the whole story.

#2--- Unlike AO, I level with people. Dave, you didnt even know that Tom doesnt pay for AO's upkeep, Zupan does. What you are 'attempting' to use as the 'you dont know the whole story' is this which I posted already:

Feel free to join the club at any time. All it takes is you posting a link to PBL on AO. Ive been told that will get you banned. But its ok to link to MCB, PBN, etc ....basically anywhere else.

There hasnt been, youve been around long enough to know thats the way AO is. Even RobAGD knows it too. But Beemer is a tyrant, and making up his own rules now.

Problem with that though is...I didnt break that made-up rule to get myself banned. So Army, you are totally wrong.

But moreso, at this stage.... both Manike & RobAGD both know there has been no issue with censorship of links on AO. And I damn well know it too. Whats changed? Simple, Beemer. He wants to misapply rules. I said this by PM and I will say it again...if you want to change the rules, post it up on AO and apply them to everyone. Dont be selective about it. And THAT my friend is what people have issue with. Selective application of the rules.

BTW---I CC'd you a copy of the PM's. Any time you want to post them, feel free. Or, should you try to use the 'You dont know the whole story' thing to persuade people, I will be happy to post them myself. I find it in bad taste to do so, but when someone tries to tell people they dont know the whole story...I have to call bullocks. Especially when I havent made it a secret, even though youd like it to be.

Sorry to bring this to the top again, but i just had to give Rogue a round of applause, i haven't seen anyone explain why what went on last night did better than him. They can say i wanted to get banned all they want, but if i really wanted to get banned i would have tried to avoid the swear filter or posted more than just *** (when i did post worse than that without thinking, i promptly went back and changed it). This has nothing to do with being cool, or who got banned, it has to do with what's right, and you guys can let this die now if you want, like i said, i just wanted to give Rogue a round of applause.

I hope that you don't get banned again, apparently you don't even have to break the rules anymore with Beemer (well i did say ***, but it was in a thread with people that said much worse stuff, but apparently *** is a worse word than **** or ***** or **** because they claim one reason they banned me is i swore, but the thread i got banned over had no swearing in it, hmmm).

Anyway, i just want to see if he allows yours to stay up.

In fact it looks like the urban dictionary is pretty messed up on both those words. Probably was non natives putting in terms they heard but didn't quite get right.

I had reported Beemers post and marked it as flamming and completely Off Topic to the post at hand. It was deleted within a half hour. Check your logs Army, it was reported by myself and deleted by who knows... :rolleyes:
