Just got in the mail an AGD Flatline Reg and tank combo. The tank is out of hydro, so that needs to be sent in. Problem is, there no real surface for me to wrench off the reg.

Anybody have any clue how to remove the reg from the bottle?

Thanks

There is a special tool designed for the flatline reg. Only a few in existence. Let me know if you want it off. It must be torqued on properly when the hydro is done too.

My guess is jack up a nice reg and screw something up putting it back on.... as well as a multiple of other OH $H!T moments spread throughout...

Not to have anyone hurt them self or their Flatline, but I took a section of round stock and used a 1/8 NPT die on the end. Then removed the burst disk screwed in my removal tool, not tight just screwed in by hand, and with the aid of my trusty Sears strap wrench on the tank proceeded to remove the Flatline.

I put a piece of rubber in my AR15 barrel blocks
and then clamped the regulator in my bench vice

Then I used my hulk hand strength to twist the bottle off the regulator

I now have a 22ci flatline mounted under my tac-1 longbow's barrel

I think we're gonna need a picture of that. Sounds cool.

Can anyone confirm that a Flatline burst disc is 1/8 npt? all the other ones I have encountered are very close, but not actually 1/8 npt. Be carefull using it that way. When teching with AA we used a similar tool but in the input or output ports, that are 1/8 npt.

You are correct... It was late when I typed that, no it was early... :wall: anyways, yes I used the low pressure "LP/GUN" port to thread my round stock into.

Thank you for catching that.
