I was using kctrouble free lubes for my guns but just recently discovered the company went out of business. :wth:

So what kind of greases/lubes would you guys recommend?

I used kc hmp on my mini and borg but since thats out of stock I was wondering what to use next.

I use the regular blue kc oil on all 3 of my mags and on ss 25.

What would you guys recommend?

This is the stuff I'm going to try. This sounds the closest (perhaps even better) to KC Trouble Free!

They answered my questions fast and shipped fast.

My first observation. This stuff is clear, seems a touch heavier/greasier than the blue KC Troublefree. (I do have about 1/8 bottle left).

My opinion and mine alone. Not scientific what-so-ever, I put a couple drops of each oil seperately on my thumb then rubbed it around with my forefinger. I noticed the KC Trouble free didn't feel as greasy/heavy. I continued to rub as I washed them off with plain tap water. Both seemed to wash off the same.

*(UPDATED 12/31/07)
I've tried the oil in multiple valves with lvl X, ULT, and the Autococker. So far, So good.... (So what.)

(FYI: I don't work for any of these companies. I'm not recommending anyone else to try them. I'm simply looking for an alternate solution of KC Trouble Free for myself.)

I been using AKA Extreme Lube in my Mags and Aliens for several years and I'm still working on an old 2 oz bottle of Slick Honey for the Mini. Both work fine.

I use synthetic air tool oil in all my markers. I buy it at Lowe's, but you should be able to find the same thing at any hardware or compressor store.

Really? I will have to pay more attention to the labels. When I was shopping for mine, all I saw locally were 100% synthetic with no petroleum.

I use the lube that came with the mag. I also use plumber's grease, since it's a non-petrolium based.

Good luck with the Gen 3 Ram. I had one and it gave me nothing but problems. So I went back to the stock ram and haven't looked back since.

I use blue KC now for my Mags (still have a couple of bottles on the shelf). I use Super Lube on my FS7's and FS8. When the KC runs out, I'll give the Super Lube a try. As for grease, I have used white lithium in the way past on a classic when I tore the valve down completely.

Well I'm going to do some comparisons. I'll try everything stock, then drop the gen3 rammer and spring and compare. I have a snakeskin bolt that came with the marker when I got it but I have a feeling I'll have to use the stock. Heard the gen3 and the snakeskin don't play well together.

I have used a bunch of the above, and love KC trouble free and also Gold Cup. I've tried different mixes and the one I like the best and has given the best to me was some stuff called "type o positive marker grease". It was made by some paintball tech for the pros and was selling pretty well from what i heard, but now I'm having a hard time finding a source. Just a tiny bit went a long way and my fps went up a bunch just switching to the stuff. I may be going back to gold cup if I can't find a new source...

We use Tri-Flo on all 100 of our rental Tippmanns, and I have used it in my mags, cockers, etc - always seemed to work great!!!

I am currently using a mixture of slick honey and triflow that I did up mid fall when my slick honey seemed to be slowing my Mini down when rapid firing in the colder weather. Seems to work good so far, no issues or problems

been using slickoney for almost a year now, no o-ring problem, no swelling, stays where you put it

It is a little thick, an viscosity thickens in the winter time, but it still works. I do know that the Invert techs at Monter Game were even using the Hater Sauce for the Mini's, so must be nice stuff.

I used slick on my matrix and within less than 2 months the orings had to be replaced. I dont mind replacing Orings but it was noticable degradation.Just wish they would put a warning on the package.
in the summer slick works like a dream winter lol i got fubar'd.
