Well due to the vastly negative things we all see I decided I'd make his thread.
The Industry is getting better and better here are some examples of how.
As a store owner I have always been troubled by having to compeat with my suppliers and manufacturers. As soon as KEE took over they closed all thier non dealer sales. Most other distributers have followed suit and now I only have a few who I have to compete with. This is a huge step forward for the industry.
MAP pricing is getting better and more and more companys are doing better at enforcing it to level the playing field. ** has a person working for them that that her only job is to enforce MAP. KEE no longer allows their products to be sold on Forums and Ebay. Save Phase gives you a five year ban from thier products if you violate MAP. Angel is giving dealers a very good mark up on the Angel one, as is Bob Long on the Marq. As a dealer its very nice. Almost all companys now have MAP policys and enforce them fairly well in most cases.
Dealers are being treated much better than we ever have. Afew years ago any time I called a company they treated me very poorly, were definatly not friendly, and acted like I was waisting thier time if I had any questions. KEE refunded our money we would have lost when they droped the price on the Mini, and they haven't tried to strong arm me once this year. They have sent reps to my store to see whats going on and do product demos and tell me about new products that are coming out. Bob Long now has a program where if a product doesn't sell with in 60 days you can send it back and get a new color or credit toward something else. Bob will also personally take the time to talk with me about new products and help me solve any problems I may have. Spyder has treated me so well I can't even begin to give them enough praise this year every event I go to they make sure I'm looked after and treated well. Tom Cole and Rudy Ekart from Bad Company take the team I took to the Spyder cup aside and gave them tips and advise, they also gave all my guys VIP access to everything there. They also now only sponsor teams thru thier dealers. Archon has been awsome and my rep goes way out of his way to make sure I'm happy. Redz calls me every week to see how things are going and if there is anything I need, granted this is a sales call but its also great service and I appresiate it. Tadao will spend as much time as it takes to help me get things set right and tuned. They also keep me extreamly well updated on whats going to happen in the future. I could go on and on.
Its great to see things getting better in this industry and most companys now are seeing the error of thier ways and actually trying to help dealers and make things better. Truthfully despite all the bad things in the industry that are so prevelent on this forum there are also alot of good things happening.
