This might be a stupid question, but I am kinda new to mags.(always had cockers) I have two, 1 with lvlx and 1 w/o. My problem is i don't know if this gap should be here and I was wanting to get some experienced input.

My lvlx doesnt have a gap, but i have tried 2 different bolts with the same results.
Thanks
Shane

I believe that gap should be there.

I think it has something to do with the power tube oring

Mine has never had that gap, open your power tube and make sure there's nothing stuck in it.

A small gap should be there, but not that big. If you don't have any bolt stick, keep it as is and/or try some lube first. (gold cup or autolube) If this don't fix it, try replacing the power tube o-ring, i could be hardened up.

The gap is there because the bolt is resting on the powertube o-ring. If it leaks out of the barrel, and the leak doesnt stop when pulling and holding the trigger, its the powertube o-ring you want to replace. If the fit is too tight, you'll get bolt stick and you should try a different spacer.

Correction, if it does stop while holding the trigger it's the power tube.

Correct me if im wrong, but the only thing that could leak in the power tube is the power tube o-ring. The o-ring could be bad, or you will need a different powertube spacer, or spring in older models. The latter depends on the wear of the sear and bolt.

No, you're right, but if it's in the power tube then it will leak down the barrel when the trigger isn't being pulled, if it leaks when the trigger is held down it's a leak in the on/off. Basically when you pull the trigger the on/off cuts off the air to the dump chamber, if it's still leaking while the trigger is held down that means that the on/off is leaking, if it's just leaking when the gun is just aired up and it's down the barrel that means that the power tube o-ring isn't sealing off the dump chamber so thus the leak is there.

Thanks guys, it is definately the power tube oring. I took it out and the inside edge of it is rough looking.
I appreciate the help.

Yeah, np dude. When you replace it, and screw everything toghether there should be a tiny gap that you can close by pressing your finger against the bolt. When you place the bolt, and drop it over the powertube, there should be a tiny gap between the bolt and the bumper. The bolt is now resting on the o-ring. The spring around the bolt presses it back more, so it seals the airchamber.

These o-rings tend to go bad when liquid COČ is entering the valve, and the o-ring freezes up.
